Bonnie Joins the Loop

When I received Tootsie's email from you, I had to call her and ask "Who is Bruce?" When she said you were Kathy's brother, the memories came flooding back. How great to hear from someone out of our past!

I told Tootsie, the main memory I have of you is that I was at your house eating lunch with Kathy after school when you came running out of your room with the news that JFK had been shot. I was quickly taken home where my parents had not yet heard the news. This was the only time I ever saw my father cry.

Please tell Kathy I said hello. As I recall, she and I had just started a good little friendship when you all moved. That was the hard part of living abroad. So many people came and went I sort of stopped trying to make close frends. They aways left! And then I ended up in the south! Talk about culture shock!

Of the names you mentioned, I have only had contact with Nadene, and that was years ago. She and Jeff Silva did stop in Hopkinsville on their way to live in Alaska and it was great seeing them.
