So, as I was saying...

After leaving Nicaragua in 1964, I stayed in touch for a while with you, Nadene
Austin, Carole Case, Mike Murray and Neal Gruwell. Carole came to school here at
U of Texas, and we hung out together a lot over a period of about 10 years. I'm
not sure where she is now. I saw Mike and Neal several times in Texas in the
late '60's and early '70's. You may know that Neal passed away at age 27, and
I've stayed in contact with his brother Dennis to this day.

I've often wondered how my Nicaraguan friends were making it through earthquakes
and hurricanes and revolutions. I suppose a lot of them left but I can only
wonder. None of the internet search engines come back with anything on any of
their names that I can recall (having lost my old ANS yearbook), and you are the
first person I ever "tracked down". I'm quite interested to know how you've
been, and would love to hear any tidbits of info about any of our high school
buddies that you'd care to share.
